Fact about the internet:
It is very large. It is large and wide and vast and once you put something on it, even if you try to delete it later, it will never disappear.
That being said, someone who may be one of my closest friends may have lost a job offer this week due to the social network that is facebook. Yikes. This is scary and apparently very real. I’ve heard stories about potential employers face-stalking candidates, but assumed that that sort of thing was just a myth or ‘could never happen’ to me or anyone I know. (On that note: does this seem wrong or creepy to anyone else or is it just me?)
I’ve spent the last couple of days cleansing my internet ego and trying to practice self-restraint (in the form of fewer and less-drunk status updates.)
