I love Lord of the Rings, cooking/baking, music, history, and feeling awesome. I want to love running, sweating, and lifting weights.

This is more than just a weight loss journey for me. 2010 is going to be a year of personal firsts and personal bests.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I always start my day REALLY well - I usually grab greek yogurt/granola or a big fruit smoothie for breakfast, then have a fruit for a snack, and healthy lunch (which varies,) and once afternoon/evening hit I blow it all.

Yesterday I did really good until I got out of work and was starving… so we went to Bubba’s and I got a burger. I mean, a burger by itself isn’t that bad, but I also had fries. And then when I got home I had two reese’s eggs. This isn’t exactly what I would classify as a binge, but it’s definitely not being on the right track.

The biggest issue I have is packing healthy foods for work. I can’t tell you why it’s so difficult for me, but it is. And I hate feeling like I’m snacking - I really enjoy actual meals. PackingĀ  celery sticks and a granola bar just doesn’t do it for me and I end up feeling like I didn’t eat dinner at all.

I’m committed to losing weight and getting healthier, but I really feel like a failure when I read through everyone’s blogs and see just how much better you’re all doing than I am. :(
